About Our Institution
Uganda Martyrs’ Seminary, Namugongo (UMS) is an Anglican Church of Uganda Institution of Higher Education established by Namirembe Diocese in 1976 in memory of Christian Martyrs killed on 3rd June 1886 to offer Theological training for ordination in the Anglican Church. It’s located at the Uganda Anglican Martyrs shrine Namugongo.
UMS is a fully Accredited Tertiary Institution licensed by National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) and holds a “Certificate of Classification and Registration” It is also affiliated to Uganda Christian University (UCU) and Diploma programs are awarded by UCU.
We are not only training Clergy, but also we produce spiritual men and women in other disciplines like Business Management, Child Development, Community Development, Project Planning and Management, Public Administration, Counselling and Guidance at both Certificate and Diploma levels. Our Institution is registered and accredited by National Council For Higher Education and all Courses are accredited by the same
