Our History 1976
Uganda Martyrs’ Seminary, Namugongo (UMS) is an Anglican Church of Uganda Institution of Higher Education established by Namirembe Diocese in 1976 in memory of Christian Martyrs killed on 3rd June 1886 to offer Theological training for ordination in the Anglican Church. It’s located at the Uganda Anglican Martyrs shrine Namugongo.
Over 5 Facalties
UMS is a fully Accredited Tertiary Institution licensed by National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) and holds a “Certificate of Classification and Registration” It is also affiliated to Uganda Christian University (UCU) and Diploma programs are awarded by UCU. "

We are pleased to announce that we currently have 500 students at the campus enrolled in various programs at different times of study. Additionally, we offer modular and online distance learning classes tailored for working professionals.
